Thank you…

It’s been a little more than three months since we bought Studio 220 Photography.
It’s been a difficult transition at times, but it’s been great getting to meet everyone and getting to know everyone in this area again.
Donna and I are both from here. I graduated from Diboll in 1984 and Donna is a 1993 graduate of Huntington High School. We were married in 1996 and have two beautiful daughters that have been featured on this blog.
We moved away from here in July of 2000 when I took a job teaching journalism at Angleton High School. Donna started a photography business in Angleton in 2002 and was planning on starting a business here when we started planning on moving back to the area last spring.
We had been away from friends and family for too long. My mom passed away last March and it was good to be back around my dad. It’s also been good to be back near Donna’s family and, of course, a lot of friends.
Before we moved back conversations were held with Donna and Stephanie Davis regarding Studio 220 and Donna coming to work with Stephanie. Out of those conversations a new friendship was born as well as a new working relationship.
Donna came on board at Studio 220 in early July.
A few months later, Stephanie, approached us with an offer to buy the business from her. It was an honor for her to consider us and give us first shot at such a fantastic business. We jumped at the opportunity.
It’s taken a while to get through the transition and it wasn’t always easy for any of us. We’ve had some great conversations with Stephanie in the past week. We know it was tough for her to let go of something that was so big a part of her life for so long.
Things turned out well for Stephanie, Chris and Kate as well. Chris got an opportunity with a job in the Fort Worth area and their family has moved there in the past week. Stephanie is looking forward to establishing a great business there, which I am sure she will do. We wish them the best.
We know how loved Stephanie was, and is, and how much people enjoyed her photography. She will be missed. I, for one, hope she keeps posting lots of pictures of her little girl. Kate is a doll.
We look forward to getting reacquainted with some old friends and making new ones.
