What to Expect

At Donna Quarles Studio & Gallery, we realize we may do things a little different than everyone is used to. But our goal
is to get your images taken, viewed and ordered as quickly as possible while you are still excited about it. This also alleviates any problems that could arise for any reason (change in management, fire, flood, death etc). Besides - this session was obviously important enough for you to schedule and pay for, why wait 6 months or a year to get the prints? By this time you will be wanting or needing another session :) We are really here to make this a pleasant experience for you.  In the end  you will be so glad and will be able to show off your beautiful portraits.

What To Expect:

  1. First we need to find a date and time that works best for you. We have a different schedule during the summer time than the rest of the year due to the heat and lighting. Your session fee is due within three days of scheduling it to reserve your appointment. You may pay by credit/debit card over the phone or mail/bring a check or cash by the studio.
  2. Donna would like to consult with you either by phone or in person prior to your session to discuss location and clothing choices. Obviously some clothing colors, patterns and styles photograph better than others. So please consider the advice for the best portraits possible.
  3. The day of your session - please be on time. Five or ten minutes early is even better. Especially if you are a first time customer, there is some paperwork you will need to fill out. If you have small children it also helps them get adjusted to a new atmosphere and people. Also, we book several appointments per day and when you are late, that tends to make us rush to get to our next appointment on time. This is not something you want rushed. If you are more than 15 minutes late we will absolutely need to reschedule the appointment. This ensures that you have our complete attention and we are not distracted by time constraints.
  4. Before leaving your session we will schedule you a Viewing/Ordering Appointment. This generally takes place one to two weeks after your session. Anyone involved in the decision making process needs to be at this appointment as this is when you will make your image selections for your order.
  5. Payment is due prior to our placing the order with the lab. You may pay half at your sales appointment, and the remaining balance within 30 days, but we do not order from the lab until payment has been made in full. **
  6. Your order will be ready for pickup within 2-3 weeks. We will call you when it is ready. We check for quality and want to insure that everything you’ve ordered is there and correct so that you only have to make one trip to pick it up.
  7. You may reorder anything from the session for 30 days after the sales appointment. After that time we will archive all the ordered images and you may order reprints of those images up to 90 days, a $100 minimum order is required. We can not and do not guarantee the storage of these files after that time frame.

And that’s it. We really want this to be a great experience for you. To do that there must be policies in place so that everyone knows what to expect. Plus we want you to have your beautiful portraits in hand as quickly as possible, while you are still excited about them.
** If you place an order and make a partial payment, then decide to change your order, please note that we do not refund any monies already paid. We will issue you studio credit good for up to 6 months from the date of original payment.
